About The A B Series
Mission
The A B Series presents Ottawa audiences with readings by the world's foremost practitioners of performance, sound and experimental poetry.
Profile
Launched in November 2007, The A B Series has quickly distinguished itself as one of Canada's most dynamic reading series. With its innovative and entertaining events, it has drawn new audiences to literary readings and contributed tremendously to Ottawa’s cultural richness.
On June 6th, 2008, legendary Dutch sound poet Jaap Blonk performed in The A B Series, one of the best attended sound poetry productions in Ottawa's history. Artists from Ottawa-Gatineau, across Canada, The USA and Australia have graced The A B Series stage.
Max Middle is The A B Series’ founder and Artistic Director. Middle and four directors collaborate to produce A B Series events.
